The Fachhochschule Frankfurt am Main is one of the leading Universities of Applied Sciences in Germany, offering a broad range of study choices.
The four faculties:
- Architecture, Civil Engineering, Geomatics
- Computer Science and Engineering
- Business and Law
- Health and Social Work
offer more than 30 different undergraduate studies and master programmes.
In the first week we introduce the students to all institutes, faculties and offers at the university, for example
- our Language Centre, which has an extensive language program for students to improve their communicative competence for their studies, everyday life, as well as to prepare for the demands of the work place. In addition to specialised language programmes integrated within the different study programmes, the university language centre also offers language courses in which students of all faculties can participate. Language certificates can also be earned.
- Library, with a broad range of media available, reflecting the complexity of the multifaceted, Bachelor, Master and further education study programmes. In 2006 our stock included 250,000 volumes, approximately 700 periodical subscriptions in printed form, over 2,000 electronic periodicals, and 18 data banks. The annual volume of media acquisition lies between 4,000 and 8,000 items.
- Learning Centre, offering quiet rooms for doing individual work. There are student mentors who give advice and support. Computer pools and a library are in place.
- Computer Centre, which is open every day from 8.30 am to 8.00 pm and is very well equipped with 88 modern work stations and printers. The computer centre is open to all students.
- Students restaurants can be found all around the campus. The on-campus students and staff restaurant offers breakfast and three reasonably prices menus every day. Café 1, Café profitratte, Café Kurzschluss and Kostbar are Cafés run by students on the campus.
