The Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst (DAAD) - German Academic Exchange Service has different scholarship schemes for students from foreign countries who want to study in Germany.
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has expanded its web-based Scholarship Database for foreign students interested in studying in Germany. In addition to providing information on DAAD programmes, the database now also lists funding opportunities for foreign students, graduates and postdocs that are offered by other selected funding organisations.

Programme Alban
In 2002 the European Commission adopted Programme ALban, a high level scholarship programme specifically addressed to Latin America. Please find more information on the Programme Alban, eligible to students from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
BAföG
German Students and some groups of foreigners living in Germany can apply for BAföG (Bundesausbildungsförderungsgesetz). You can check here for the details (in German language only).
