Admission
Admission to the programme is restricted. Previous degree qualifications, the applicant´s specific skills and aptitude for the prgramme and his or her English language skills determine admissibility to the programme. The academic prerequisite for the degree is a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or a coparable subject, or a qualification equivalent to the German Diplom in Electrical Engineering or a comparable subject, of no less than three years in duration. Candidates should have achieved at least a B (2,0) grade or the equivalent in their previous studies. Additional documentation must be provided if the previous degree in below a B average or the equivalent. Proficient English language skills are a prerequisite for admission to the programme and we require a TOEFL score of a minimum of 213, IELTS 6 or Cambridge First Certificate (A). Exemptions are outlined in the section "Further Information". The following documents are required for appication to the programme: a personal statement outlining the applicant´s interest in the programme as well as his or her specific qualifications for the programme, the applicant´s resume, evidence of previous degrees (transcripts) and English language test scores. Computer science graduates may be admitted under special conditions only. The faculty provides further information on these conditions.
