About Fb3: Business and Law

The department of Business and Law provides relevant and exciting courses with a view towards employability. The department offers a curriculum which depends on international criteria and addresses real needs.

The department has a faculty of 221 professors and lecturers who have applied research programs and courses in a variety of areas ranging from Business Administration, Finance, International Financial Services, External and Internal Auditing, Taxes, Marketing, Public Management, Commercial Law and Business Information Systems, Production Management & Logistics, Aviation Management, International Management, Human Resource Management and Negotiating and Designing Contracts. The Department offers Diploma, Bachelor and Master degrees and provides also a post-graduate study in Industrial Engineering.

Our Competence Center KWRG offers courses on social competence, communication skills, foreign languages and German & European culture.

Our faculty and graduate students actively pursue both practical experience and applied research, often collaborating with colleagues in other disciplines or in industry. Through involvement in research, extensive interaction with practicing executives, and continuous development of new teaching materials and processes, we strive to provide our students with leading-edge learning opportunities. Some benefits of studying at the Department of Business and Law are:

  • Almost 30% of the students are international students from all over the world.
  • The classes are limited to 36 students per lecture, so the professor can look after each student. Our seminar rooms are equipped with video projector, overhead projector and a multimedia system.
  • All professors have at least 3 years practical experience in industry or in the consultancy area.
  • The Fachhochschule is located in Frankfurt downtown (5 min to the city center, 10 min to Main Station and 20 min to the International Airport). Frankfurt is an open-minded German city with cultural diversity and an international environment (see, for example, the European Central Bank or the International Airport). Because of its geographical location in the middle of Europe, it´s very easy to arrange excursions.
