The Masters programme in Leadership offers an additional qualification for students with a first degree in business administration. The programme comprises four semesters and was first introduced in the winter semester 2007/2008. Throughout the Rhein-Main region, there are no other comparable programmes that engage with the specificities of the practical activities of leaders as explicitly as the Masters programme in Leadership. In assessing and addressing the needs of industry and employers, the faculty of business and law draws on its extensive experience and relationships with various large corporations, as well as small and medium-sized companies in the region. These close relationships have yielded applied research und consultancy projects as well as jointly supervised master theses, internships and seminars that offer students an opportunity to tackle practical issues in a real-world context.Contents- The curriculum covers the full range of management and HR issues:
- operative and strategic leadership; executive development; social issues and business ethics
- academic as well as practical angles on leadership issues: scientificbasics as well the organisational and operational framework and applications
- managing change and complexity
- understanding one’s own and others’ personality and behaviour
- discussion of integrated case studies
Added Value - Small study groups foster direct contact with fellow students and lecturers.
- Seminars are conducted in an interactive manner, involving different teaching methods, group work (also in English), and collaboration with students from other master courses.

Needed to enroll - Bachelor or equivalent degree graded at least “good”
- Basic knowledge of Business administration, economics, labour laws and English language, good command of German
- At least six months of practical experience after the first degree or as an internship within the framework of the first degree
- Ability to work in teams, acquired through hands-on experience
- Commitment, enthusiasm and above-average interest in HR and management issues
