Online Placement Tests
The online placement test facilitates (for you and for us) the process of finding the most suitable language study group for you. First, you have to register yourself for the placement test. You and your instructor receive your result immediately after the completion of the test. Your language skills can be assessed according to the number of points gained. You are allocated a group in accordance with the criteria of the
Common European Framework for Language Assessment (CEF).
German Placement Test
The German Language Test (Online test) is intended for exchange students participating in the Fachhochschule Frankfurt Erasmus Programme. Participation in the test is a requirement for joining the
German study programme lessons.
English Placement Test
The English Placement Test is intended for all students who are about to start a language programme or attend a language course for the first time. The completion of the online test is often a condition for being able to participate in a specific language course.
French Placement Test
The French Language Test is intended for all students who are about to start a language programme or attend a language course for the first time. The completion of the online test is often a condition for being able to participate in a specific language course.
Registration
You can register at elearning.fh-frankfurt.de in order to do an electronic entrance exam for German.
Here is how you proceed:
1. Moodle can also be used in the English language. Choose the English-language option moodle provides you with by scrolling to [Englisch (en)] in the menu in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
2. Fill out the form [Neuer Zugang] at elearning.fh-frankfurt.de with your details.
3. Afterwards you will receive an E-Mail at the E-Mail address you registered.
4. Read this E-Mail and then click on the link included in it.
5. Your registration will then be confirmed, and you will be logged automatically onto the start site with your given details.
6. Now choose the rubric [Fachsprachenzentrum], in which the [Sprachtest Deutsch] is included. Click on [Fachsprachenzentrum: Sprachtest Deutsch].
6. Read through the quiz instructions and click on [Test jetzt durchführen].
7. Now you can do the language test. Do not forget to end the test by clicking on [Alle abschicken und beenden].
8. Your results (the number of questions you answered correctly out of 70) will then be shown automatically at the bottom of the page. You may have to scroll down in order to see these results.
